For anyone visiting beautiful San Francisco, there are more than a few things to check out, experience, and cross off your bucket list in the city. One of these is definitely heading over to Fisherman’s Wharf, which is a staple on any San Fran trip. Down there you’ll find tons of fresh fish markets, piers full of entertainment, ferries across the water, Alcatraz, and much more. Buena Vista Café is not only a great place to grab some drinks and food down at Fisherman’s Wharf, but you’ll also be experiencing a little piece of history. Opening in 1952, the café started the popular drink that we all still know and love today, the Irish Coffee. Nothing says brunch like a coffee that will kick off your morning like this one can. They still use their original recipe that was created to match the spiked coffee that was being served back in Ireland at the time. Order up a few, top them with whipped cream and check out their awesome brunch menu to go along with it. You can dine on some bread pudding, eggs Benedict, or one of their amazing crab omelets that come fresh out of the wharf. You won’t be disappointed with the drinks, food, or old school feel of this historic café.

Hollywood Café

The Hollywood Café is another staple down at Fisherman’s Wharf that people absolutely love dining at for more than a few reasons. First off, the restaurant is pretty big, which makes it perfect for groups, families, and getting together with friends for some sweet brunch. Whether you choose to sit inside or outside, you’ll love the fun ambiance indoors or being a part of the action outside. Everything on their menu is tasty, fresh, and generously portioned, so make sure you bring your appetite when visiting this hot spot. They also serve beer and wine, which makes any brunch just a little brighter, especially on vacation.

Eight AM is a newer brunch spot that opened up in Fisherman’s Wharf and is getting rave reviews from the locals and visitors to the area. It’s right in the middle of the hustle and bustle going on at the Wharf each morning, so it’s a great spot to kick off a day of sightseeing or just hanging out by the water. They have a large variety of healthy, fresh menu items that are sure to please everyone that you are dining with. Some of the favorites include any of their amazing frittatas, their avocado toast done three ways, or some of their light, buttery waffles. Although they do not have any alcohol available, you can treat this spot as more of a healthy start to the day as you dine outside and experience the great views and truly amazing food.

If you’re looking for brunch with a view, look no further than Eagle Café. Located at the infamous Pier 39 in Fisherman’s Wharf, this café sits up on the second level making for some pretty spectacular sights. Not only do they have amazing food, but they’ve been serving it up since 1928; making them one of the oldest restaurants in town. Once you find a seat with the perfect view, you’re going to have some difficult choices to make; Bloody Mary or Mimosa? Homemade Corned Beef Hash or Banana & Pecan French Toast? Choices, choices. Try and bring a friend who likes to share and order up as much as you can stomach. You won’t want to miss out on a thing!

This place is the perfect little spot to have an amazing, guilt-free brunch. Who doesn’t like the sound of that? To top it off, the place has a great atmosphere that will have you feeling right at home. Most of their menu is gluten free and organic too, so it’s perfect for anyone who might have an allergy or specific dietary needs. Grab a seat outside on their patio, order up a drink, and relax while you decide what tasty Scramble or Benedict to choose from.
