Family Day at the Wharf for Sunday Streets
Fisherman's Wharf and PIER 39 are partnering to bring you Family Day to the Wharf, part of the Embarcadero Sunday Streets event on March 8, 2015, the first of the 2015 season.
This event will take place at PIER 39's entrance plaza and in the Fisherman's Wharf parking lot (Near the Historic Crab Wheel Sign) which is the northern end/start point for the Sunday Streets event.
Highlights of "Family Day at the Wharf" Include:
- Mobile Rock Climbing Wall - Free!
- Segway Obstacle Course - Free!
- Inflatable Mazes, obstacle courses and sports activities for kids - Free!
- Free Bike Valet
- Northern California residents can join PIER 39′s free “locals only” discount program, Local Advantage, and receive exclusive discounts like Kids Eat & Play Free.
- Local Advantage members can receive a free kid’s entree, attraction ticket or merchandise item with the purchase of one adult entree, attraction ticket or merchandise item at participating businesses.
- Also included is 2 hours of validated parking at the PIER 39 Parking Garage.
- Present a receipt from any PIER 39 or Fisherman's Wharf restaurant or eatery at the Fisherman's Wharf Welcome Booth to receive a free gift for your kids. The receipt must be dated March 8th. Valid only while supplies last.
All PIER 39 and Fisherman's Wharf activities are weather permitting.

Traffic Advisory
Family Day at the Wharf is part of the Sunday Streets event that will close the Embarcadero from 10:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. You will need to take one of the below alternative routes to get to Fisherman's Wharf, which on weekends can be much faster than the Embarcadero!
If coming from the South:
- Take US-101 N toward San Francisco.
- Keep left to stay on US-101 N
- Take the US-101 N exit on the left toward Ninth St/Civic Center/Golden Gate Br.
- Continue onto US-101 N/Mission St
- Slight left onto S Van Ness Ave
- Continue straight onto Van Ness Ave to Fisherman's Wharf
If coming from the East Bay:
- Take the Harrison St exit on the left toward Embarcadero
- Turn left onto Harrison St
- Turn right onto 3rd St
- Continue onto Kearny St
- Slight left onto Columbus Ave and proceed to Fisherman's Wharf
