Bay Theater
Aquarium of the Bay runs the Bay Theater, located adjacent to its entrance on PIER 39. The Bay Theater hosts a full line-up of daily film programs and an array of special events. Daily film programs feature award-winning documentaries, animated shorts and beyond, on ocean-lover favorite topics including sharks, whales, surfing, marine life conservation and San Francisco Bay ecology. Tickets are just $3 and all proceeds of ticket sales will support the conservation work led by Aquarium of the Bay and its partner organization, The Bay Institute. Hours of Operation
All films are approximately 20 minutes in length. Most days, the films alternate every 30 minutes throughout the day. On days we have our Magic Show (Fri – Sun), the show times vary throughout the day. Please check with Visitor Services when you arrive or call 415-623-5333 for show times.
