4th of July - Special Service for Caltrain
|
On Monday, July 4, Caltrain will operate a regular Sunday schedule, with extra southbound service after Independence Day fireworks.
Following the fireworks in San Francisco, the first special train will depart from the San Francisco station at 11:15 p.m., or when full, and express to San Carlos, and then make all local weekend stops to the San Jose Diridon station. Two other special trains will leave at 11:30 p.m. and 12:01 a.m., respectively, and make all local weekend stops to San Jose Diridon. The last regularly scheduled train will depart at 9:15 p.m. and make all local weekend stops to San Jose Diridon.
One-way tickets or Day passes can be purchased at the ticket vending machines at the stations before boarding. Customers using their Clipper® card must remember to tag on before boarding and tag off at San Francisco. Caltrain is a Proof-of-Payment system; customers without tickets are subject to citation.
For your convenience, discounted train tickets are available by advance purchase for groups of 25 or more. Save 15 percent over single-ride tickets. For information about placing a group ticket order, visit www.caltrain.com/grouptravel.
Caltrain would like to remind customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains departing San Francisco beginning at 9 p.m. on special event evenings.
